Join a Newsela Customer Success Manager for a hands-on walkthrough to get your Newsela account setup for the new school year.
Throughout the month of September, Newsela will be hosting free back-to-school workshops for teachers at subscribed schools. During each 45-minute session attendees will get hands-on guidance on logging in and setting up their account, an orientation on the content and instructional tools Newsela provides, and tips for gathering and assessing student work to make informed instructional decisions. Plus, a preview of all the new and exciting content Newsela has published to support rich curricular instruction. Don’t miss out!

Can I join more than one session?
You’re welcome to attend as many as you’d like, but the materials we cover will be the same for each Workshop.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for the session?
Nope! Just come eager and willing to learn from the Newsela Customer Success Manager and each other!
How do I RSVP?
Right here on this page! Click the link for the session you’d like to join and fill out the necessary information, and you’ll receive a confirmation email from Zoom with instructions to log in when the Workshop begins.
How will I attend this virtual event?
We will send you an email before the event with links to join a Zoom webinar. No additional registration is needed before the event. We recommend viewing from the Zoom app. You can learn more and download before the event here.
What if I miss the event?
Attending live has its benefits, like being able to ask questions and participate in chat discussions. But if you register and can’t make it, no worries! All registrants will receive a recording that they can watch on their own time.
Is there a cost to attend?
Nope! These Workshops are totally free to attend for any educator with a Newsela subscription through their school or district. Invite your colleagues!
Do I need a Newsela subscription to attend?
Anyone can register and attend, but these workshops will be best for helping educators with a Newsela subscription use their premium content, features, and tools.
Can I receive a certificate for attending to use as professional development?
These short Workshops are meant to be an orientation and walkthrough for teachers in their Newsela premium subscription, and we won’t be offering professional development credits for these short sessions. But you WILL walk away with knowledge and skills you can use immediately to build lessons and incorporate Newsela content in your classes.
